Spectacular art in Henningsvær – Pepsi Max

The brief

At Henningsvær Stadium – perhaps the world’s most beautiful football pitch – Pepsi MAX and JCP created an art installation together with the locals at Henningsvær. There weren’t any Norwegian teams represented in this year’s Champions League, but Norwegians are still ecstatic during the tournament, and especially during the final. This is what we wanted to communicate.

Strategy
Everyone living in Henningsvær were invited, and around 100 people in the age range from 0 to 70 came to join the colorful party. A ten meter wide and two and a half meter high canvas was built, which the people of Henningsvær were suppose to fill with paint. The twist was that they had to fill the canvas by hitting it with footballs that were poured with paint – hundreds of times – to create “Good luck in the Finale” – greeting before the Champions League Final. You can see the result in the video.

The result
In addition to the attention from the Norwegian media, the artwork got covered in a news report on the TV2 news. In addition, the video has gained international attention in UK’s second largest newspaper, Daily Mail, and is currently rolling on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
