In march, JCP organized the yearly “Risikokonferansen” on behalf of BDO. The attendees at the conference are mainly top and mid management from both the private business and government institutions. This year the conference focused on how companies can make risk management and compliance a competitive advantage.

During the conference some of Norway’s most well known digital leaders talked about how you can foresee opportunities rather than the threats. Digital innovation and security risks does not necessarily have to be contradictions.

The brief:
BDO has a history of organizing this conference on their own. This year they decided to call in some professional assistance. It’s always important with a flawless technical event and BDO wanted to make sure that this was going to be fulfilled.

Strategy and solution:
The location was set. Some would say that a venue known for laughter and stand-up shows would be a contradiction with a risk conference. But rather than seeing it as a threat we used it as an opportunity.

We were located in one of Oslo’s business district, Aker Brygge. We were able to reach more people as it was easier to come and go as you wanted.

The technical solution was not one of the big flashy variants, but on the basis of the given budget and the venue, we had a solution that emphasized the seriousness of the conference by being clean and tight. JCP took an advisory role in the planning and especially made sure that the speakers were followed up in a good way with all information and follow-ups they both need and deserve.

The result:
The conference had more participants than ever before.

JCP made a good base for continuing and developing the conference in the coming years.
