DNB – Activation Bracelets for Norway Cup Participants
We helped DNB teach kids about earning, saving and spending money in a fun, relaxed way at one of Europe’s largest football tournaments.
Insights and strategy
DNB is breaking grounds with new innovative ideas to make the banking world easier for everyone. Now, they want to start educating their clients on a very early stage.
Kids these days are able to easily adapt into the technological world that we live in. How could DNB use the Norway Cup event to make kids learn about earning, saving and spending money in a fun and relaxed way?
To create activities that would teach kids to communicate, work and get paid for it in a fun and interactive way. The solution had to be tech-related and at the same time be connected to football in some way.
JCP Digital has created a software hooked up to RFID technologies that gives the kids numerous possibilities in earning points by participating in activities on the DNB stand. After earning points, they could use them to buy merchandise and other products in the DNB merchandise store, or to take a selfie with friends at the provided photo booth.
The RFID technology was used in bracelets everyone received upon registration at the DNB stand if they wanted to participate in the activation. By scanning the bracelet, the software could add points at the activity areas – or subtract points if they were spent in the store. They could also book their teams to join the mini football tournament DNB had on their stand.
During the 6 days that the stand was open, 5.431 kids registered and received bracelets. 11.971.000 points were earned and 7.781.110 points were spent in the store. The reaction from everyone were beyond expectations and the stand were mentioned by the organizers as the best stand in the area.
